Björn Scheuermann is the professor of Communication Networks at TU Darmstadt. He holds degrees in mathematics and computer science. Björn became one of the first Junior Fellows of the German Informatics Society (Gesellschaft für Informatik, GI) in 2013, and since 2018 he is one of the research directors at Alexander von Humboldt Institute for Internet and Society. His research focuses on computer networks and network protocol design with a focus on performance and efficiency, and often with a twist towards security and privacy.
