Prof. Alexander Reinefeld

Alexander Reinefeld is a scientific director at Zuse Institute Berlin and a professor for Parallel and Distributed Systems at HU Berlin. He conducted research at the University of Alberta (Canada) in 1984 and 1987 and earned his PhD at the Universität Hamburg in 1987 in the area of artificial intelligence (heuristic search). In the 1990s he headed the Paderborn Center for Parallel Computing. His research focus is on distributed data management, scalable and dependable distributed algorithms, and the efficient use of massively parallel high-performance computers.
